Jeff Morris, UW Madison Division of Extension Swine Outreach Specialist, is excited to announce the 2024 Show Pig Symposium. This event will be held Saturday February 10, 2024 at the Chula Vista Resort in the Wisconsin Dells.
The educational program will be held from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm with lunch served at noon. A block of rooms and a special rate have been reserved for those who would like to stay and make it a fun weekend to socialize with other show pig families. Along with a high-quality agenda, feed suppliers will be on hand to answer any feed-related questions exhibitors may have.
The tentative agenda will cover topics including:
- Show day and sow hydration presented by Heath Harper, Hueber Feeds
- Traceability and AgView presented by John Heins, National Pork Board
- Trailer Maintenance and Transportation Emergency Preparedness presented by Tim Rake, I 39 Supply
- Vaccination/Antibiotic recommendations
- Biosecurity
- 2024 Show Season Updates
