The University of Wisconsin-Madison Extension and K-Lund Angus, Jim and Roxanne Lund, will be hosting a beef cow-calf field day on Thursday, August 22, 2024.
While Wisconsin is known as “America’s Dairyland”, beef production is on the rise.
Producers of all sizes and experience levels are welcome to attend this field day. Discussion will include considerations for starting your own cow calf herd, transition from dairy, and designing handling facilities for both new construction and retrofitting existing buildings. UW-Madison Extension Beef Specialist Bill Halfman and Regional Extension Educator Ryan Sterry will present and lead a discussion on pregnancy diagnosis, cow herd management going into the fall, and marketing a uniform calf crop. Don’t miss out on this local opportunity to connect with others in the beef industry.
