Chickens exist in many colors, sizes, and shapes. There are more than 350 combinations of physical features. In order to be able to identify and classify each of these, we have established a system of designations known as classes, breeds, varieties, and strains.
One answer to the demand for chicken coops is the pasture poultry ark (Figure 1), a combination of an A-frame shed and the traditional chicken tractor, which is a floorless coop/pen that is moved daily.
Pastured poultry is a system of raising poultry for meat, eggs, or pleasure on a pasture management system.
